Privacy Policy

Starsort: Color Drop Arcade ("Starsort") — last updated September 2026 (effective September 21, 2026). This policy explains what Jaxper, LLC collects, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to Starsort on web and mobile. For privacy laws that require a data controller, the controller is Jaxper, LLC (1664 Keller Parkway, Suite 101C, Keller, TX 76248).

Delete my data

Starsort (Jaxper, LLC) will delete or anonymize personal data we control when you ask, subject to legal retention rules (for example tax and purchase records).

How to request deletion

  1. Email info@jaxper.app from the address tied to your web purchase, if you have one.
  2. Use the subject line: Starsort data deletion request.
  3. Tell us your platform (Android, iOS, or web) and what you want deleted (for example server analytics ids, referral link, or purchase entitlements on our servers).
  4. We will confirm by email within 30 days and tell you what we removed or what we must keep by law.

On your device: Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage removes local save data, age-gate birthdate, and settings on that device. That does not delete server-side purchase records held by Google Play, Apple, Stripe, or RevenueCat — use their tools or email us to ask about entitlements we store.

What we usually delete: anonymous analytics and billing ids on our servers, referral links tied to your player id, feedback you sent, and synced profile fields when we can match your request.

What we may keep: purchase and tax records, fraud-prevention logs, and copies needed to resolve disputes — typically for the period required by law, then deleted or anonymized. Parents may request deletion for a child under 13 by emailing info@jaxper.app (see Section 12).

1. What we collect

We may collect:

  • Gameplay progress saved on your device or synced to our servers when you use online features (for example endless ladder progress, Constellation Rush and daily mini-game records, cosmetics you own, and Star Pass bank data).
  • Your month, day, and year of birth when you complete the in-app age gate (stored on your device to remember your age group; we do not use it for marketing and do not sell it). On CrazyGames we do not ask for a birthday. That site is for ages 13 and up, so we treat play as the 13–17 group and do not store a birth date. When you use online save or load your User ID on another device, we may store your age group tier (under 13, 13–17, or 18+) on our servers — not your full birthday — so the right shop and privacy rules apply.
  • A hashed parent-control password on this device if a parent or guardian sets Parent controls in Settings (we store a one-way hash, not the password itself, and we do not send it to our servers).
  • A random web id, an analytics session id, and a billing id used to link purchases and restore entitlements (stored in your browser or device) — only after you confirm you are 13 or older in the age gate, or after CrazyGames starts you in play as 13+ (see Section 12).
  • Your email address and payment status when you buy on the web — Stripe and RevenueCat collect this to process checkout and send receipts. We receive purchase metadata (product name, amount, subscription status), not your full card number.
  • Purchase receipts from Apple App Store or Google Play when you play in the native app.
  • Basic device or browser info (for example device or screen type, operating system, language, approximate region from your IP address, and crash or performance logs).
  • Crash and error reports through Sentry after you complete the age gate — anonymized for players under 13 (no session replay or personal identifiers). Disabled in development unless we turn it on for testing.
  • Optional local push notifications on the native app (for example when Hearts refill, when daily Nova Pass gems are ready, or gentle alerts after a day, week, or month away) — only if you grant notification permission on your device. You can turn Notifications off in Settings.
  • Product-analytics events about how you play (for example levels started and completed, scores, daily mini-game and Constellation Rush visits and results, and where you tap to buy or watch an ad), tied to your anonymous session id — only if you are 13 or older per the age gate.
  • Advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data when you watch an optional rewarded ad in the iOS or Android app (ages 13+ only), handled by the ad network (see Section 5). The web browser version does not show ads. The Steam desktop version does not show ads.
  • Feedback you send through Settings (we automatically scrub common personal details from it).
  • A pilot display name you set in Settings and an anonymous player id — stored on your device and synced to our servers when online features are enabled (ages 13+ only for server ids).
  • A referral code and the link between a referrer and a new player if you arrive through a friend invite link.
  • When you play The Multi-Vs: a random player id, match id, paddle timing, and match score so we can pair you with another player and keep the match fair. If you add friends or make a private arena, we store your friend code, the people you add, and short-lived arena codes so you can play together. We do not send your story progress to the live match arenas. The Multi-Vs leaders list may show how far you have gone in Endless next to your name.

We do not intentionally collect special-category data, and we ask you not to send sensitive personal information through feedback.

2. How we use it

We use this data to run the Game, save your progress, unlock purchases, process subscriptions, grant rewarded-ad rewards, process referral rewards when eligible, send optional local notifications you allow, pair The Multi-Vs matches, fix bugs, measure and improve balance and performance, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with law, and respond to support or feedback. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Legal bases (EU/UK and similar laws)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to provide the Game and process purchases you request); legitimate interests (to keep the Game secure, prevent abuse, and improve it, balanced against your rights); consent (for optional analytics or personalized ads where consent is required, which you can withdraw); and legal obligation (to meet tax, accounting, and other duties).

4. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage and similar technologies to keep your save, ids, and settings on your device, and to remember your preferences. These are needed for the Game to work. Analytics and ad partners may use their own identifiers; where the law requires, we ask for your consent before non-essential tracking and honor recognized opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where applicable.

5. Advertising and analytics

On the iOS and Android apps, the Game may show ads to players who are 13 or older (after the in-app age gate), served by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). The web browser version does not show ads, rewarded-ad offers, pop-up ads, or banners. The Steam desktop version does not show ads, rewarded-ad offers, pop-up ads, or banners, and it does not use an ad network. Players under 13 do not see ads and we do not initialize ad SDKs for them.

  • Rewarded video ads (opt-in only) — you tap to watch; we never play them automatically. Examples: double Stardust after a win, or one extra try on a near miss.
  • Full-screen ads (after level 10) — may appear when you leave the mission result screen, typically after every sixth completed try (win or lose), with a session cap of six per session and at least ninety seconds between ads. They never show during gameplay or immediately after clearing a chapter-wall level.
  • App-open ads (after level 10) — may appear when you open the iOS or Android app, or come back after being away for a long time. They never show during a level, and they never show when you close the app.
  • Banner ads (after level 10) — small ads on menu screens such as Command Center and the shop; hidden while you play a level.

When you interact with ads, networks may collect device and advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad-interaction data under their own privacy policies. The No-Ads Pass removes full-screen and banner ads for eligible players. Star Pass does not remove interruptive ads — players with an active Star Pass may still see pop-up and banner ads unless they also buy the No-Ads Pass. Optional rewarded ads may still be offered so you can earn bonus Stardust if you choose.

We send product-analytics events through our own server (not a client-side tracking SDK), which forwards them to analytics providers such as PostHog, only for players who are 13 or older. We strip obvious personal details before they leave our systems. Players under 13 can still play the endless mission ladder, Constellation Rush and daily mini-games where unlocked, use the Cosmos Market Looks shop with Stardust they earn, and keep progress on their device — but we do not send product-analytics events for them.

6. Storage and sharing

Much of your progress stays on your device. When you use cloud, billing, ads, or social features, data may be stored on secure servers we operate or on services we hire (our processors), including:

  • Stripe — Welcome Bundle checkout and card processing for web billing.
  • RevenueCat — web subscriptions, Nova packs, No-Ads Pass, and purchase restore.
  • Supabase — server-side entitlements, player identity sync, and referral records when enabled.
  • Ad networks (such as Google AdMob) — to serve rewarded, full-screen, and banner ads for eligible players.
  • Analytics providers (such as PostHog) — to measure gameplay and improve the Game via our server-side ingest.
  • Sentry — crash and error monitoring after the age gate (anonymized for under-13 players).
  • Cloudflare — The Multi-Vs match arenas (connection metadata, paddle timing, and match scores — not your story progress).
  • Hosting, logging, and infrastructure providers that help us keep the Game online and stable.

These partners process data only to provide payment, ads, entitlement, analytics, or hosting services for us, and their own privacy policies apply to how they handle that data. We may also disclose data to comply with law, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud or harm, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above—typically while you use the Game and for a reasonable period afterward—then delete or anonymize it, except where we must keep records longer (for example, purchase and tax records) or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

8. International transfers

We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect data transferred across borders.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, such as encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

You can turn off optional analytics or ad personalization where the platform allows it, reset your device advertising id in your OS settings, delete local progress from device settings or in-game reset tools where offered, and contact us to ask about data tied to your account. On the web, open Settings → Manage subscription or use links in your Stripe or RevenueCat receipt email to cancel or update billing. Deleting local browser data may remove your save and billing ids on that browser; purchases tied to your email may still be restored through RevenueCat or support.

Star Pass and Nova Pass are paid subscriptions with no refunds. If you cancel, your pass perks stay active until your current 30-day period ends — canceling only stops the next charge. See our Terms of Service for full purchase and refund rules.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email info@jaxper.app or use Send feedback in Settings (see Delete my data at the top of this policy for step-by-step deletion requests). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and you may appeal a decision or complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. California privacy notice

If you are a California resident, you may request to know, delete, or correct your personal information and to limit certain uses, subject to the CCPA/CPRA. In the past 12 months we may have collected identifiers, device and usage data, purchase information, and gameplay content as described above. We do not sell your personal information and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise California rights, email info@jaxper.app.

12. Age gate, teens, and children

When you first open the Game, we ask for your birth month, day, and year through a neutral age gate. We use that date only to decide which features you may use. We store it on your device (and in secure app storage on native builds) so you are not asked every time. We do not sell your birthdate and we do not share it with ad networks or analytics providers.

Under 13: You may play the endless mission ladder for free and spend Stardust you earn on looks (paddles, spheres, and backgrounds) in the Cosmos Market Looks shop. Constellation Rush and daily mini-games follow the same age rules as the main ladder. In The Multi-Vs you may practice against the computer or play same-device modes; live matchmaking, friend codes, and private online arenas are turned off. Nova packs, passes, real-money checkout, rewarded ads, Welcome Bundle checkout, and product-analytics tracking are turned off. We do not create analytics session ids or preload ads for this age group. Crash reports are anonymized.

Ages 13 and up: You may use the Cosmos Market (Nova packs, Star Pass, Nova Pass, Looks, and Trade) and purchases subject to these Terms and any extra confirmations shown before a large spend. On the iOS and Android apps you may also see optional rewarded ads and the No-Ads Pass. The web browser version does not show ads. The Steam desktop version does not show ads and does not sell gems or passes in the Game. Star Pass perks (such as Stellar Bank unlock, unlimited story Hearts, and +25% Stardust on clears) do not turn off pop-up or banner ads — only the No-Ads Pass removes those interruptive ad formats in the apps. Teens may see extra purchase confirmation steps and may enable an optional spending lock in Settings → Parent controls; prices are the same for teens and adults.

Parent controls: A parent or guardian can switch this device between the under-13 and 13+ experience in Settings → Parent controls using a password they set on the device. The stored birthday does not change. Switching to 13+ turns on the shop, ads in the apps, and product analytics described above. Switching to under 13 turns those off. This is a device setting. It is not a change to the birthdate we stored from the age gate.

User ID: When you load a User ID on this device, we apply that account's age group (under 13, 13–17, or 18+). That replaces the last player's age setting on this device, including a leftover Parent controls age lock. We still do not move your full birthday. If that account has no age group saved yet, this device asks for a birthday again and saves the new age group to that User ID.

CrazyGames: CrazyGames is for players 13 and older. On that site we skip the birthday screen and do not store a birth date. We treat that play as the 13–17 group so teen spend confirms still apply if shop features appear. Privacy and Terms stay in Settings. The web version does not show ads.

The Game is a mixed-audience title, not a kids-only app. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country) without verifiable parental consent where required. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for monetization or analytics. Parents or guardians may review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child's information by contacting info@jaxper.app. If you believe a child gave us personal information without permission, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Third-party links

The Game and ads may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the Game or at https://jaxper.app and update the effective date above. Continued play after changes means you accept the updated policy where the law allows.

15. Contact

Questions about privacy or to exercise your rights? Email info@jaxper.app, use Send feedback in Settings, or use the contact method on our storefront listing.
